If you wish to migrate to Australia, you are spoilt for choices regarding the suitable visa options. It might become a little confusing as to which category is best for you. Migration Agents in Brisbane can help to get you over the confusion. Let us have a look at the following options- Subclass 400 – This visa subclass is useful for short term trips related to highly specialized work, which is of the duration of no more than six months. This is frequently availed by business visas that have international offices at multiple locations. It is useful for sending employees overseas for carrying out short term projects in Australia. Subclass 408 (Exchange Arrangement Stream) –This visa subclass is of high utility to business offices with overseas branches that want to avail of staff exchange opportunities. This visa has a maximum validity period of two years. Subclass 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage) –It is one of the most common visas issued by employers for sponsoring skilled workers to come to their country and work for them. It can be used for people who want to stay for a period of a maximum of four years. It can serve as a pathway to permanent residence but only for people with occupations in the medium term occupation list. Subclass 494 – This is a comparatively new subclass which was started from 16 November 2019. It specifically deals with businesses operating in regional Australia (including Perth and the Gold Coast). This visa offers employment through the occupation list. It also offers a pathway to a permanent residence along with a five-year visa. Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMA) – It pertains to the regions of Australia which have made a pact with the Australian government. According to the agreement, flexibility will be provided for regions that face high demand and a low supply of labor. DAMA's use of the subclass 482 visa provides concessions to the salary, English language, skills, and occupation trends which are not available under other programs. However, the specifications vary with the region. Each DAMA region has its specific occupation lists for hiring semi-skilled people. Labor agreements – These agreements are brought about by an industry or an individual business. These agreements aim to provide concessions for occupations, English language, salary, etc. Some of the industries which are under labor agreements are the meat, pork and dairy industry. Fishing and fine dining restaurants are also under agreements that use the subclass 482 and 494 visas. Global Talent Employer-Sponsored – This program is for highly-skilled positions. These positions are so demanding and high profile that they cannot be filled through the standard visa programs. This program is specifically useful for demands in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. This program is useful for organizations that want to employ workers who can bring about innovation in an established business.
