The Department of Work, Education, Small, and Family Business has published a Traffic Light Bulletin for Immigration purposes on future improvements to the lists of qualified employees.
If you are planning to apply for Australia Permanent residency, you need to get proper information about everything in detail, so that you can simply get a visa. You can also seek help from our migration agents in Brisbane because they make a full list of professions that are available at a list or which are going to remove from the list. Please notice that these changes are only suggested at this point.
Red Occupations
There are positions that can be removed from all lists of occupations of skilled visa categories in Australia. Hairdresser, massage therapist, and community worker occupations which were historically common among migrants and in some demand in Australia are standing out.
Orange Occupations
Orange occupations are the ones flagged for moving between the three lists of occupations:
-
Regional Occupation List (ROL)
-
Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)
-
Short-Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL)
Actively marked professions to be downgraded from MLTSSL to STSOL include Automobile Electricians and Vehicle Mechanics, Wall and Floor Tilers, and Construction Trades Staff, also Painting trades workers.
Flagged to transfer from the ROL to the STSOL, opening up the visa sponsorship alternative for employers in non-regional Australia. The occupations like Draftsperson of Mechanical Engineering and Real Estate Representative.
Potential positions switching from STSOL to MLTSSL include Advertising and Promotion Executives, ICT Project Managers, and Knowledge and Organisation Specialists, like the ‘Data Science’ occupation. This move would give 482 visa applicants paths to permanent residency, as well as the opportunity to apply for a Skilled Independent 189 visa. It is important to note that those occupations also come with a salary caveat recommendation above a certain level.
Moving from STSOL to ROL might be a geologist, limiting applicants to live and work in Australia regionally.
Finally, taking a major leap from the ROL to the MLTSSL might be the positions of Recruitment Manager and Ship ‘s Captain, again offering workers the chance to sponsor employees outside of Australia regionally.
Green Occupations
After languishing off all lists for quite some time a number of personal support occupations have been flagged for addition to the STSOL. Aged or Elderly Carer, Health Service Staff, and Personal Care Assistant are the others that should be included. All three careers come with the suggestion that a mandatory Skill assessment will be carried out.
